Hi All! I hope everyone had a lovely holiday season!
At the end of 2014 I found myself doing what I always thought I wanted to do, selling my hand knit items in a local shop and developing & teaching knitting classes. Exciting stuff! Part of me was ex-tactic for the opportunity to make a little money doing one of my most favorite things…Knitting! But the other part of me found the deadlines and extra scheduling a bit stressful because, well, I already have a full-time job (nearly 24/7 really).
Not only the care & feeding of, but also the life learning facilitating (homeschooling) with these adorable young people. The last few months helped me to realize that at this particular time in my life they really are the perfect outlet for my creative energy!
My word of intention for 2015 is Focus.
I feel the need to simplify, to focus in on my family and home. So for now everything else is going on the shelf. I will be looking at my hobby crafting through the lens of “focus” as well, methodically working my way through the massive pile of WIPs that I have going all at once to focus and finish one (or two) projects at a time. Squeezing in gifts for my favorite people along the way
